It can be a little more exciting during the dreary season: With dark lips and an even complexion, we’re going for pure drama in the new lavera make-up look and are even an absolute eye-catcher in a cosy jumper.
How to Create Drama Lips
Complexion
For an even complexion, start by applying the Hyaluron Liquid Foundation with either a make-up brush or a damp beauty blender. Gently work into the skin. To conceal any areas of oiliness on the face apply the Invisible Loose Powder to the T-zone with a brush. Add a little more freshness to the look by applying the Velvet Blush Powder in Pink Orchid 02.
Eyes
To avoid stealing the show from the lips, keep the eye make-up subtle. Choose either to keep the eyelids bare or apply a light coating of the Signature Colour Eyeshadow in Moon Shell 05.
For the most natural look possible, apply mascara to the upper lash line only using the Lash to Impress Mascara in zig-zag movements.
For an expressive look, comb the eyebrows upwards with the comb of the Eyebrow Styling Gel and fix with the gel brush. If necessary, fill in small gaps with an eyebrow pencil.
Lips
Finally to the highlight of the look: the lips! For a precise lip contour, first trace the heart of the upper lip from the centre outwards using a sharpened lip liner.
Then contour the lower lip and connect the lines at the corners of the mouth. The dramatic, beautiful look is completed with the Velvet Matte Lipstick in Royal Cassis 06.
Pro tip: For a more subtle look, gently dab the lipstick onto the lips with your fingers.
Extra make-up tip: fake freckles
You can paint on fake freckles with the Eyebrow Pencil - Blonde 02 . To do this, distribute the sweet dots around the nose, cheeks and between the eyebrows and pat them in lightly with your fingers. This fixes the colour and the points appear softer. The more different and irregular the small spots are, the more natural the look will appear in the end.
