Sensitive scalp

Sensitive scalp is expressed in various symptoms.

A hair care diary helps to track down the cause of a sensitive scalp. Document things like care behaviour, washing frequency and external influences to be able to narrow down the trigger.

With our care tips you can prevent sensitive scalps.

Characteristics: These could be the symptoms

Burning or tingling, itching, redness, flaking or a feeling of tightness on the scalp can be signs of a sensitive scalp. The various triggers are just as varied as the symptoms, which range from stress to allergies to an unbalanced diet. Acute complaints should be discussed with the dermatologist.

How to care for a sensitive scalp

Blow-dry your hair only lukewarm - excessive heat irritates the scalp and dries it out.

Wash the shampoo and conditioner very carefully so that they don't put too much strain on your sensitive scalp after shampooing.

You also have to be particularly careful when choosing the brush. Metal or plastic bristles can also irritate your scalp.

A little tip for the next brush purchase: Pull the brush carefully over the back of your hand. If it scratches too much, it won't be good for your scalp either. Brushes with soft, rounded bristles or bristles with round knobs on the front are better.

You should also avoid excessive pressure when combing so that the already sensitive scalp is not irritated or damaged.

Less is more! If you have a sensitive scalp, you shouldn't use too many care products. A mild shampoo every two to three days should be enough.

Care products with soothing and soothing active ingredients are particularly recommended. Try our new shampoos and conditioners and see for yourself!
